What makes TIFF such a great festival is that it provides the audience with a chance to see films that they might otherwise never get to see. International films are always a big hit in Toronto. Vastly different from the regular Hollywood fare, they provide food for though; they challenge viewers and often stimulate great conversation.
Marcin Wrona’s Christening (Chrzest) is one such film. On friday night it made its second run at the festival. Once again the house was full and afterwards nearly everyone stayed for a Q&A with the director.
What made this screening even more special was that the Director and CEO of TIFF, Piers Handling, made a special introduction of the film.
After the screening, fans joined the director and the film’s Producer Tomasz Szulc for a reception at WOO Lounge organized by Ekran (the Polish Film Festival in Toronto) and YouNxt.
Thank you to all those that came out. With TIFF coming to a close on Sunday it was nice to get in one last film festival party before the curtains come to a close.
