The secret is out. Perhaps the reason gun-slinging vigilante cop John McClane was able to kick major butt in all those Die Hard movies was because he had a little bit of liquid courage in his back pocket.
Bruce Willis is now the official celebrity spokesperson (and part owner) of Poland’s Sobieski vodka. He’ll appear in a series of comedic commercials and print ads over the next four years in a deal reportedly worth 16 million dollars and a 3.3 percent stake in the company. There will be banner ads on news sites like gawker.com and print ads in magazines such as Rolling Stone and Playboy. Mr. Die Hard will also take part in Sobieski-sponsored events around the world. Check out this New York Times article to read all about it.
In total there will be seven Web commercials created by Meter Industries. Check out three of them below. The website truthinvodka.com also includes a feature called “Ask Bruce,” where the viewer can ask Bruce a question and receive one of about 30 recorded answers.
Part of Bruce Willis’ job will also entail spending countless hours with vodka expert Polish supermodel Joanna Krupa (not really, but he should consider demanding that in his contract.)
